The bike is junk. The bike is way too heavy. The gears make endless noise and can not be adjusted to eliminate the noise. On the 4th use, the chain snapped.
Save your money. Buy a quality bike from a reputable manufacturer

I don't know if it is common with this bike but, I put it all together as per the instructions. Glared at it for a few minutes and decided to take it for a spin. The first push off I experienced a major pain in the groin area. Looked down only to discover the chain snapped. So, be careful with this purchase and wear a cup.

So I got the bike, in a timely fashion. Assembled it with ease. Within 3rd time on it the pedal stripped and came off. Less than 5 miles net city road travel. Amazon paid for the repairs, I didn't ship back the product, just told them how much the guy up the street was charging me. Now its been a while since I bought it, put a about 50 of those city road miles on it. The bar that holds the pedal cracked and will need to definitely get a new one. I'm 6'3" 225 but it's not like I'm beating the heck out of it. Solid bike for cosmetics, does the job I want, but always wondering what may happen next.
Addition in September 2012 - So I've gotten more use, and some minor squeaks, but nothing major. The one thing that is major is now I have to carry around an allen wrench to make sure the handlebars don't loosen up on me. I will likely have to replace the handlebar soon. Also, the hand grips came off, but using hairsparay to get it back on wasn't too tough. This should be a gift for someone you want to screw with
